Has anyone ever dealt with these cosmetic issues?

1. Cleaning the inside of a GM headlight? Can you just take it apart? Or is it not worth the trouble.

2. The bumper piece being off of the metal. It looks like it's going to fall off

Headlights not worth the trouble, they are a rip to get apart.
My bumper is the same way. I thought about getting a new cap for it but not sure it's worth the trouble either if it's gonna end up the same way.

You can try polishing the headlights. Might take the majority of hazing off the outside. The inside isn't worth it unless you're going to retrofit projectors too. I would just buy some fleebay cleared lights if it were me. And literally 90% of the Chevy bumpers I see (including the 3 in my family) are curled up right there.

Then I guess that means I will probably have to buy new headlights, because I cant stand the look of foggy lights. I have tried cleaning the outside many times to no avail.

Has anyone ever bought aftermarket headlights that look stock, like off of ebay, or is it easiest to just buy some from the dealer

I bought cheap ones off eBay. They have cleared reflectors is the only difference from stock. I recommend sealing them before installing if you go that route. My bumper lights get moisture inside, other than that they look good

Sweet. That's most likely what I'll do.

I have a cousin who basically drilled a screw into the black part of the bumper, through the metal part to hold it in place. It seems like it works

My bumper does the same thing. Even on the same side. I put a new plastic piece on and eventually the same thing happened lol.

The eBay lights are like everything else on eBay, cheap Chinese crap. I have some and they look like shit after a few months. I'm looking for some oem ones now.

Cleared my stock headlights…..took Way too many hours to clean all the old silicone off! I wouldn't suggest taking them apart but I've never owned aftermarket ones either.

I said I want oem I don't think they can get me oem

I believe they're considered oem replacement or cappa certified..I think the dealer is the only oem source....I went w/keystone/lkq cappa certified oem replacements & there crystal clear after 4 years so far

Sorry that's capa certified.....bad speller

I also got cheapies off feebay, after I tried a ****-it-up-urself headlight cleaning kit, as well as a shmuck at a shop with polishing compound and a wheel half assed 'em....once theyre discolored and dull, theyre dumpster fare...just buy new. The feebay ones look good, I got the ones with clear reflectors. But like another said, seal em first. My bumper lights also get moisture inside. My bumper lights do seem to be gaining a greyish tint?

My eBay specials do that too. The ones with the day time driving lights have accumulated some moister. But do you guys think it's worth it to pull them out and dry them then add a little more silicone around the edges?
