Started taking measurements for the four link today. Already shortened the frame (long bed to short bed) and removed all brackets. The rear of the frame will be moved in 7" on each side, to fit the tires! The tires are a massive 33.5"x20.7"-16" Hoosier drag slick. Looks like I'll be able to get the truck down to 4-6" frame to ground. The Torsion bars are getting ditched for coil overs (another fun project). Now atempting to get all the Monkey $h!t undercoating off the frame. Interior is stripped and waiting for the cage. It should be done being bent up by the end of the week.

1 3/8" Josh! Shooting for March if all goes as planned Chris. Hoping to get a few sponsor's on board, to make things happen faster. The paint is one thing I need to find somebody to do. I have a killer idea, but need somebody that can air brush after the base coat.

:thumb: Good start Russ! A heat gun and scraper somtimes works well on undercoat. If its pretty tough crap, I like to use 3M Clean'N'Strip wheels on a dotco/angle grinder. They can be had at places that have autobody stuff, and they are roloc type. You'll find them awsome for prep work.

Blue is harder and longer lasting than the black ones but black is less aggressive, if you get some

What's your target weight for the truck? That sounds a little small for the power these trucks make and their typical weight.

Biggest bars they make, and they said that they are plenty strong enough. They have two full body trucks in the 8's that use the same bars. I know there is a big weight diff. but, I'll bet Chris has smaller bars and heims, and he hits them harder then I ever will. The heim's have a 1" in dia. billet shank.

I'm sure ours are smaller

Hopefully you'll get some 1.08 60's out of it too:hug:

I'm sure they're fine. I'm just used to the rock crawling world where 1.5" bars are considered small, but they are usually longer and often come into contact with large immovable objects. Good luck with the build, and keep the updates coming :thumb:

I've got a few new pic's of the frame work that I've been slowly working on. But I need to get some AA Bateries for the cam, to down load the pic's. Rims are on order (16"x16"), and should be here in a few weeks. Rear diff is going in for surgery next friday .

Found some batteries that worked. The bars are not the correct angle, because the frame is still 2" higher then it will be at ride ht. Other then that, this is pretty much how it will be (With more bracing & gusset's).
