Amsoil in Trans & Transfer

Do I want to run Amsoil or should I run Factory transmision fluid?
I like to switch the whole truck over if I can. Thanks for the help.

I just switched my transfer case to 5W30 synthetic motor oil. You may want to consider that.

Less chance of fluid vaporizing. Transfer cases get real hot because of the magnesium case.

Does it make any difference what you use? 5-30 Amsoil What about 0-20 Amsoil? Just asking I want to earn everything I can about these trucks.

Only 5/30 synthetic was tested as being good. No idea what other weight oils will do as they were not tested. How lucky do you feel?

Remember that when your truck is 2WD, be careful not to overfill the transfer case...

I would agree. Since this is recommended "outside" OEM specs, I'd stick with what has been tested.
