Truck is 2003 year silverado with allison and lb7.
have notice rough between 3-4 and slipping under heavy load.
and the converter have too high stall speed.
trans is orgin. low milage.
engine is tuned.
I'm going to doo the trans overhaul myself. have done a couple of 4l80e in the past and some bigger trans in cat equipment.
i've have a transgo shift kit, but som question about what will be the best parts too put in?
1. converter, i've looked att the BD low stall triple disk. is that a good one?
is there anything better out there with more torque transfer att low rpm?
2 clutch packs, i've been looking at PPe stage 4 and 5. or is there some better solution out there? tharget is 550whp and so much tourqe as possible without changing bigger thing on the engine.
3. Mike L spring. i want the line sping and also the trim springs. but cannot find anybody who can ship it too norway! some help here have been greatful.
4. is there any else i should do with my trans? i want a bulletproof trans for daily driving, towing and a little drag race
If i've lived in usa, i've run the truck too mike l, but it's a freeking long way from norway too usa!
and the trans builder in this country ain't good enough:-( they all about earning money.....
so help with the best product for my truck will be greatful
