has anyone found a fitting that will screw into place of the factory trans cooler line fittings? theyre a m22X1.75 which other then the factory fittings,,, i'm finding nothing on. Running a new cooler setup and all i lack to fire the new engine and trans in some fittings.
BUT if no one can help with that anyone have some old leaking trans cooler lines laying around they'd donate? I'll pay the ride and just need the ends plus about 6" of the hard line that comes out of the trans.
Thanks,
Matt

mmm i'm running 5/8 TOC to -12 fittings. fabbing up a whole different setup. had some m22x1.5 to -12 adaptors but no go. i'm bypassing the factory cooling circuit in the radiator and running just a big remote mount with a fan on it.

Hmmm, well if the threads are different than stock idk where you could go, maybe summit or jegs?

Good luck, sounds like it'll be sweet when its done!

03+ should be -10 o-ring seal. My radiator fittings are nothing more than a -10 male o-ring to -10 flare. I believe it is a 7/8X16 thread. I'm not aware of any metric sized cooler fittings.

why? how much pressure do they see? We spoke about how much the cooler sees once before and seemed to be within reason of what a barbed fitting and a clamp could hold. not arguing but could i have maybe misunderstood what pressure the cooler sees?

The cooler pressure can spike to 200 psi running stock mainline pressure ( 232 psi ). It can get a lot worse running higher mainline like a .130 shim ( 255 psi ). And even worse running my pressure regulator spring which is adjustable from 290 psi- 350 psi. Clamps are scary. Be carefull.

i use .140 shims,,, hmmmm looks like i'll get some made up. I understood wrong. It was my understanding the cooler saw only a portion of line pressure. oh well glad ya corrected my thinking. :thumb:

I have the two fittings with the purple clips that screwed into the mike l/ppe cooler, i took them out cuz i got the upgraded cooler line and those screwed right into the cooler. I'll take a pic and post it if you want to see them, if you want them after that i will send them to you

What cooler are you going to run? I've been fighting high tranny temps all year on the racetruck, nothing but problems running two classes. Even just running one class after 2 runs it's already at 210. Going with a fresh new tranny next season and want to keep temps under 200. BD's cooler looks pretty good, what's everybody here running? I really want to ditch the stock heat exchanger but by the sounds of everybody i'd be better off leaving that in the circuit.
