Just found the spec sheet on the original build.

PR spring upgrade
Transgo shift kit
converter flow valve modified
C1 hub modified
LML pistons and return springs
You probably had the shrinking GPZ c1's in your trans.
Can you elaborate for the Allison challanged
There was a run of C1 GPZ clutches that were known for shrinking after installation. For example if clearance was set to .090 after some time it's not uncommon for them to be .155 or more.
Piss, So I am guessing if the clearance opened up they would be prone to slipping? Does this usually take out the converter when over heated like it did?
With the condition of the fluid it should be sent back to be checked.
Ok, thanks for the help. Do you have the kits in stock Mike is talking about?
Good deal. Nice to hear he is standing behind his work.

I forgot to post what the problem was, the Raybestos GPZ C'1s compressed and they could not fully engage. So even though it was a part failure after two years of drag racing Scott is rebuilding it under warranty.
A few more extra's thrown in there for you too, it has Mike's springs in the VB now. Early Raybesto's C1 frictions from a couple years ago had compressed and were toast but we had you covered :thumb:. We have had good luck with the C1's that are in there now.
I didn't know you build transmissions, I haven't had any luck with builders in the northwest. Can you do one day builds? Good to see people stand behind their work.
