I am not sure how the tech 2 works but I reset mine with the snap-on as that is all i had to work with. The truck went through the park, reverse and drive tests with the truck stationary(for the clutch clearances i guess) and then told me to put it in park and turn off the ignition for the computer to reset. The truck jerked a few times forward and back while this was happening...is this similar to the tech 2 operation???

Yes I do this with my Verus and Solus pro all the time without issue. Same as tech 2 fast learn procedure as far as i can tell as i have a tech 2 as well.

all hell broke loose

Thank you for your assistance. I know you do not need to help on a trans you didn't build. I thank you for the help.
Last night I had a p0741 show up with my temp climbing. So I reset code and went for drive after resetting tune to stock. Temp continued to climb to 210-215stock then it felt like converter stopped working. Lost forward but reverse was good real weak drive.I checked codes I had a p0776. I cleared codes and it drove a bout a mile and did it again. Towed it home put on hoist removed valve body but everything looks good all solenoids check out good and valve seam good. Everything was plugged in.
Trans cooler seamed cold but trans hot. I blew thru cooler lines and all seamed well.
My c5 clutches have .067 clearance when checked thru case.
Could I have a bad converter or a valve stuck or fell out?
Plugged spin on. Fluid in pan was clean only 150 miles from rebuild.
Thank you

P0741 indicates the converter is not locking at all and probably the reason heat keeps rising. I am begining to think you might have dropped a sealing ring or 2 on the input shaft.

Thank you for all your assistance. Like you said on phone my c5 or c1 is giving me a problem and you were on the money with c1. I had a damaged hard plastic inner lip seal I damaged during installation. But as you know my BD converter was toast.it sent clutch fibers thruout the trans but after a precision ml and a detailed cleaning and check with a special thanks to Tony at ALLSEASON DIESEL. SHE IS back in road and knock on wood it feels great.
Now just some time on relearn and efi live from rob and she's ready for fun.
Thank you very much for your time and patience
