I finally put the tranny all back together and it runs great again. I replaced all the bushings, seals, bearings, torque converter rebuilt w/ billet stator and installed a new radiator. All of this because the torque converter failed. Thanks for all the help with this project.

What would cause my flex plate to torque converter bolts to break? I have about 2000 miles on my rebuild and I started to get a loud noise from under the truck. I decided to pull out the starter and check the bolts. Two were sheared off and I tried to remove the rest and three more twisted off, I was only able to remove one bolt from the converter. all bolts were torqued and all were new bolts that came with the converter. any ideas on what would cause this? thanks,
Matt

I can't tell yet going to pull tranny this week and get a new flex plate.... Should I go billet or stock?
