Hello everyone,
i was wondering if anybody has installed the PPE or Mishmoto transmission coolers in an attempt to get temps down? Are they worth the extra money over a stock one? I have the PPE deep pan but haven’t noticed any temp difference with that alone. I’ve already checked my cooling stack for any built up debris and it’s pretty clean.

You are going to have to provide more info on the truck. I beat the hell out of mine and it has the stock cooler/pan and I don't ever have trans temp issues.

The truck is stock other than the PPE deep pan. 122,000 miles. Running Transynd. Hitting 200 degrees in Arizona without towing.

Under what conditions? Driving around town with the converter unlocked in AZ heat, those temps sound fine. Probably wouldn't run any warmer out on the hwy with a trailer

Like said above, you're going to have to be detailed. As stated, around town with everything unlocked that's not a bad number. Cruising down the highway empty on flat ground would, IMO, be too hot unloaded leading me to dig into the system.

Towing about 18k 5th wheel my 2016 with a epc fooler cruising down interstate converter locked I’m running about 175 in 90 degree ambient. Unlocked through town I see 200-205 while towing.

EPC fooler will cause higher trans temps by quite a bit, but it will help the Alli last longer under higher power.

Nothing wrong with those temps for out here. deep pan does nothing but prolong hot trans temps and its only marginal at that.

PPE and mishimoto are junk chinese coolers. If mike has one for you truck, buy it.

To be fair, most of the products we buy are made in China or that general area. The PPE coolers certainly have taken a quality hit. I'm on the Mishimoto trans cooler bandwagon personally as they seem to pull the most heat out BUT I do not like their rubber hose with hose clamp idea.

drive it. at that temp its nothing to worry about. I live in phx as well. my old truck ran higher pressure in the trans than yours and would see 210-220 when towing around town and converter unlocked with a crappy stock trans cooler (01-05 style). unloaded id see 210-215 middle of summer in traffic. changed to mikes cooler and different fan and temps were about what you see.

hell my 2020 sees 185-190 in its current form in these temps but the trans aint stock either.

I thought that was they went to the 10 speed more power handling? I don't know. I just keep my vehicle stock.

I'm running a mishimoto trans cooler on my LMM and it works awesome! Running Mike's spring for extra line pressure on my built trans my Temps were always around 200 - 210 F not towing just putting around town on a hot day. After Installed the mishimoto my Temps around a solid 30F to 50F cooler! It works better than I expected and I got it dirt cheap $390 canadian off amazon.

I tried buying a cooler from Mike but he won't ship them to Canada anymore so I had no choice.

the 11-14 Mishimoto will work, but you will have to make your own mounts. Very easy to do. Russ had to do it to his 2015 due to the EPC fooler elevating temps above 200 easily. Cooler dropped it about 20-25 degrees on average. 👍
