Has anyone else seen alligator has a new trans kit? They are calling it their competition kit on their site, and supposed to be the latest and greatest. Seen it has raybestos clutches. This the same kit as suncoast gpc/scz kit? Just curious. Just trying to stay updated on whats what. Lol

Call and ask. Kind of sounds the same, but I've heard the Alligator branded "stage 5" kit wasn't as involved as the regular PPE 5 kits.

I saw a thing on fb earlier and had mentioned something. They said that they were raybestos clutches with "special" steels. Was just curious, as I know Mike will chime in and give us his opinion on them haha.

My guess would be that they are referring to moving away from friction/steels of traditional design and moved to non-slotted steels and frictions with retention patterns (which not all GPZ frictions and raybestos steels have) AKA going with advanced technology that is Proven.

GPZ is a material blend Not a design like most think. Below is a perfect example of what i am speaking about.

Most people just look at the price and think it's great its so cheap. Then when they read its the same its a no brainer for them. It's sad these people have to lie to sell parts. It's no different than the HP ratings on some of the kits out.

This is just a question and not intended to step on any toes, but are they selling for more than a suncoast gmax kit? Any particular reason why if so?

Yeah, like the PPE stage 5 kit, I couldn't believe how little it really is and supposed to hold 1000 HP, right??

This makes me laugh too

I wondered if I was the only one...

I have no idea what is in the Alligator kit. I will tell you this; when I want a Suncoast kit, I call Suncoast. I do it quite often. I have a lot of friends there.:D

I have held that much power with that kit many times. It is the same as the old Suncoast stage 4 kit. There is better stuff right now and it will get better.
Clutch companies have found out they need us.:D

I understand that the altos in the stage 5 ppe are outdated, and I remember you telling me before that the stage 6 clutches are outdated also now, but are the stage 6 "proprietary" clutches in the stage 6 really any better than the old yet proven stage 5 kit??

Mike or evan, your opinions :D
