Second time my truck has been cleaned out in my driveway. I would like an aftermarket alarm with a proximity sensor so when someone approaches It chirps. Something to alert the dogs. Then I can let them out and watch the fun begin.

What are you guys using for aftermarket alarm protection. I wish I had a garage, but that's not possible in my neighborhood.

Dang, sorry to hear that.

The truck was locked I take it? They popped a handle/broke a window?

Im not aware of any alarms with proximity sensors anymore. Glass break sensors yes, or shock sensors for bangs on the truck or glass breaks.

I think viper still has the proximity sensor but they use it in the cab and i dont know if it will go off with the doors and windows shut. My buddy said its more for jeeps with their tops off or windows out.

who's your brand of alarm then? I walk through parking lots down here and cars chirp when I walk by, so I assume those are proximity. From Googling (is that a word now?) I found that DEI makes a "radar proximity sensor" that connects to Viper/Python/Clifford alarms (all distributed by DEI). Do any of you have experience with these products, and did you install them yourselves?

Thanks.
