The Airdog and the FASS are both flow through. But the likely hood of the pump going out is very small, they have both been proven to be very well put together. I have had failures with both pumps though.

I have the FASS pump only, and it will flow enough to be able to drive down the road 1 mile from the house, and only gave me problems when I went over 2000 rpm's. I just did it today with my FASS HPFP w/o filters, and I could only tell when it started chugging, flipped the switch and all was good. They are not supposed to flow through at all.

I would not want to run my truck that way its just working the Cp3 harder pulling thru it.I leave mine run when ever the trucks running.

I know that Henry, I was loading a tune and turned the pump off. I forgot to turn it back on when I left in a hurry, but it did flow through enough to make me positive I could limp the truck off the highway to safety if I need to.

Chad I did not mean that to sound rude buddy.and yes its nice to know you could get to a safe area or even home if needed. But for the others reading they should not make a habit out of doing thing and install a bypass when they do not want to run there pump.for me I will just leave it on.I have done the same unhooked the pump and found out soon as I got into her some.

You can say that again lol

I would love to get both pumps and cut them like the pic I posted and see if ea really look like that. You see info that Fass gives you to help sales and you see info that AirDog has and there all never the same.I would like to see it first hand.If the pic's are the same that I posted to me the Fass is alot cleaner built pump and looks to be built better.I do not run one I run a PPE lift pump but i do sell both.I might try a Fass out I also have a Weldon 2035 race pump from my race car I would like to try.

i have the ad. it is really not that loud. much quieter than the fass imo. i have mine wired to a switch to shut it down when i get to low on fuel just in case and have run no problems using a pass through. i will have to hook my vacuum gauge on it to see what kinda vacuum it pulls that way. then we know for sure how bad it potentially could be for the cp3. but like chad i sometimes forget to switch it back on after a flash and never had a problem.

i ordered a Airdog 2 today, will post up pictures once i receive it and get it installed.

quick question would the airdog have a problem pushing fuel through 3 filters? i have a stock, then a aux. one underneath the hood.

I have never installed one with a post secondary filter, but I see absolutely no reason why this pump would have any issue pushing it through another filter. Just FYI, the AD comes with a 3 micron filter.

How often should that filter be replaced on the AirDog?

Depends alot on you and where you fill up

the AD is going to take the brunt of the cleaning so you will get more life from the stocker:)

Chad ive always ran a pre-filter with the lil KDs and it doesnt really have issues even with being a 90gph pre filter,I am pretty sure the stocker is only 90 gph too

they both restrict fuel a bit......Abby runs 1- 3 micron that flows 350gph:D

Durrasizzle I would at the very least add a lift pump press gauge even if its temporary to see what your press is at at WOT

Are they raycors if so i can tell you what they flow GPH if you give me the model #
