I think I'm mistaken what the intake heater was. (add stupid me smily here)
The heater grid in the LBZ/LMMs look like in the pic (purple part). Think of it kinda like a radiator, only intake air moves thru electronically heated fins.
In LB7 they are like the one pictured in that thread you posted. Its a coil, not a grid heater.

I ordered a set of delete plugs from Curtis at DPR and he is an extremely nice guy to deal with. $180/set for an LBZ/LMM. He said the others would be a little cheaper.
In that case I wont produce any - good to hear things are well there!

DRP ( Diesel Research Products AKA Curtis ) sells them ? not sure who else , i would think Guy Trip / Socal would have them also ?

I'll PM you his email. The truck seems to run great without the glow plugs.
I got my set from Guy at Socal last year. They look just like glowplugs, but nothing extends into to combustion chamber.
Maybe I'm out of the loop, but how many people have actually had the tip of a glowplug break off and fall into the engine during regular operation? My thoughts are that just about the only time one would break is if it was installed inproperly or during removal...
Its not so much the tip falling off, its the controller can go go bad and keep the plugs on which can cause them to swell and break. Also the tip itself can interfere with the injector spray pattern.
That all makes sense. Sadly, its kinda a non issue for me, I gotta keep em in my engine. It gets COOOOOLLLLDDD here sometimes. LOL!
With the tips removed style GP delete or plugs, is any compression being lowered or not noticeable?
