'Was curious. These pumps from the looks of it, are designed to run all the time. What do you guys do? Run them on demand on continuously?

My Air dog runs all the time when the key is on. My truck used to be a daily driver. THeres no reason to have it shut off it does nothing but help.

x4 and daily. i do have a switch though inline just in case. i tend to let my tank go low and dont want to have any issues with 1/4, although i have let it run now for quite a bit into the low fuel light before shut down and no issues yet.

Did you put a new fuel pickup in the tank when you installed this?

I have ran my FASS for 3 years on 2 different trucks with keyed on ignition, not a single problem. They are built to run that way. I do have mine on a switch so I can turn it off when I am loading a tune, otherwise it's on when my key is in the run position.

I would get some sort of pressure switch that reads off oil pressure to trigger the pump to come on only when it has oil pressure. I wouldn't want it to run if I had to have the key switched on, such as when loading or reading a tune. I did something similar on a '56 Chevy using a low oil pressure light switch to turn on and off a relay. Something like this should work: http://shop.oreillyauto.com/ProductDetail.aspx?MfrCode=NIE&MfrPartNumber=OP23021
