Tyler's truck looks damn good in person too! :thumb:
Thanks man! Hope those wheels are workin out for ya. Probably going to be seeing you quite a few times this year at the track I'd say.
I am pretty sure that's the driver side judging from the handle on the b&w hitch
About how much can you "adjust" ride height with the air? And when you hook up a gooseneck can you air it enough it dosent sag the suspension at all?
You are correct, it is the drivers side.
The reasoning for them mounted in front of the axle is just do to the fitment of the brackets on the frame. (The b&w bracket was 100% in the way for mounting the bags to the rear)
I've seent them mounted both ways and in the instructions it mentions mounting them either way. I just opted to drill out one of the holes on the upper airbag mount and utilize one of the b&w nuts as one of the mounting locations.
As far as height, from 10# of air it sits as low as it did without the bags.
At my normal ride height I have around 20-30psi in each side and it gives me about 1-1.5" over.
The most i've put in them was around 80psi (that was for the initial leak/fitment testing and then twice for moving around a trailer I used to own) and it raised the rear around 3-4" I want to say. Didn't ever break down a tape measure and get exact numbers though. I'd be more than willing if you want me to take a look here in the next couple days though.
I haven't had a good oportunity to heavy haul with this setup yet, but it will tote around a 24ft GN horse trailer without affecting it. (thing was light though, like I said, not much of a test at all)
Do you have a part number ? must of used a 1500 part ,i dont see anything for our 2500hds
Yep, It was a kit designed for the GMT 900 silverados/sierras.
I used kit number 59209. (for whatever reason the picture isn't the same kit on their website, but when I ordered this was the cheapest place I could find them that still honored the rebate that was running)

Oddly enough, Airlift didn't ever engineer a bag kit designed for a lowered 3500 srw long bed with a GN hitch. I didn't want to lose the availablilty of being able to pull GN's, so I had to modify the mounting brackets just slightly to get them to fit.
It wasn't plug and play in any way, shape, or form for my application, however the end result was more than worth it. As mentioned earlier, every small bump I would hit resulted in kidney jarring consequence. (and that's coming from someone used to rocking 10/12k coilovers on cars). Now this thing rides like a cadillac instead of a lumber wagon.
hopefully that shed a little bit of light? Anything else just ask.
