If you use a 4X4 alli you need to use the factory t-case with it. IIRC. output shaft sensor is actually in the TC.

No, you do not need the cluster to make it work. My LB7 is as happy as can be without the cluster being transferred over. I did cut the logic module out of my old clusters circuit board in order to trigger an LED for tow/haul mode, but that is it.

78 79 bronco NP205, Cummins manual trans w 205 input gear and coupler, custom made adapter, tone wheel and sensor adapted to OP shaft.
Sorry I really dont get on here much. When I did mine I was on my own but Its really not that difficult if you have the skills. the engine will run without any of the inside electronics and so will the transmission.. and I am no longer on facebook u can find pics on photobucket under madspeed69.
