LB7: Aftermarket radio

Okay guys I'm tryin to put in an aftermarket radio in my truck. It already had on it and it was cheep. I took out the old radio and put in the new and it didn't work now I tried to put in the old radio and now that one's now working does anyone know how to get around the unlocking bull shit? I can do at home or do I need to take it to a dealer?

Truck specs? idk if it matters but I've never had anything lock on my LLY and I've changed head units a few times..

So wait you put new radio in but didnt work, so you put old radio back in which started working again? Possible you screwed up wire harness for new radio? Follwing instructions?

Everything is exactly now it was wired before one sound tec though it was the door chimer that was burnt out up I replaced that as well and same thing. And I had someone tell me that it's the Anti-Theft system that is locking out the radio and it's a 04 chevy Silverado 2500hd 6.6 lb7

Is your security light on douse it stay on after your key has been on for a bit?if so vats is on.if not than u got something else going on.did u get the adapter for it or just cut up the factory harness all nasty.also if u have on star it's diff slightly.if it's all cut u u might want to fix that and get the proper adapter and should be simple wiring from there.
