AFM junk

On a rant lol. Got another AFM gm junk motor in the shop. Lifter turned sideways EVEN though GM put a plastic holder in place to hold them. WTF

Yes, AFM/DOD is crap. Your lifters/cam will fail, it's just a matter of when.

We are in the process of doing an AFM/DOD delete, as well as twin turbos on a buddies Pontiac G8 GT.

How many miles before you guys are starting to see failures? What’s a delete consist of just new lifters? Cost?

earlier years will be worse off than the newer stuff but they all eventually do it. have not seen a LT engine do it but then again, i have not looked to see if any have failed.

Well hopefully the LT engines are a little bit better. My wife’s 2007 Tahoe is just over 100,000 now and she isn’t interested in replacing it with something else.

Wonder how bad that new 2.7 I4 is going to be
