Well my 2013 3500hd all stock broke the crank shaft @115k. Spun main bearing #4 in the process so it's junk.

My options to fix it are buying a used short block, throwing in new bearings, using my top end and adding head studs, a cp3 swap and y bridge, exhaust and a single heavy tow tune. All for around $7750

Or

I can get a rebuilt complete engine leave it 100% stock and throw it back in for $7750.

What would everyone else do. Just wanna get this truck back up and running dependable. So I'm not sitting along the side of the road again.

Would the rebuilt engine have any type of warranty on it? The only thing I would do for sure if you tear the engine apart is to put in Mahle Motorsports pistons. Never again will I put stock LML pistons back into an engine that's torn down...

I'd personally go for a used short block... throw some pistons in there along with your cp3 conversion, and you'd have something solid..
