You sled pull, and I drag race, big difference in what we think is the correct injector size for the amount of smiles per gallon needed. Lets leave it at that, :thumb:

i like my 45 overs. so tiny compared to everyone else here but its more fuel than my turbos will ever clean up and even at 7,000ft towing, she stays pretty much smoke free on my 600hp tune

Thanks for the comments guys! Once I get passed this little hold up with my rings and knock out two side jobs I'll be full bore to get it done! I'm dead set on doing 60 overs cuz like Utahski said I'm at about 5000ft elevation and I frequent higher elevations with a camper and trailer. I don't want any smoke or haze out of this sucker with normal daily driving.

And I'm actually using the injectors to limit myself. I have a problem, and that's if I have the availability of more power I will end up using it and then regretting it later when I keep breaking more things. Figured a physical limit on fuel is better than a limit on air.

Plus it's an LB7. It's not a matter of if, but when the injectors will be back out

I wouldn't mind touching 11's with this setup once or twice but in reality I just want a good daily driver that puts a smile on my face. I love drag racing but I swear Bandimere is just a hard track to go fast on.

Yea for sure. The last time i ran at Bandimere was in march at DPC 2011 on bald street tires and with a single s480 turbo and 100% overs. I went 11.4@122 and i threw a lot at her to get that time. Tough track.

Seems strange that you had no fuel left to burn and only ran 138mph?

Ive ran faster than that with just 100 overs??

I agree, not that I would use dyno results for very "useful comparisons" but I made 904hp with my 60 overs, I was starting to lose rail pressure, and I still didn't have enough air for the fuel. I do inject meth, so I'm sure that gave me a bump. I just can't imagine 150 overs running out of fuel at his power levels. I would love to know who did his injectors?

Been real busy lately with this and side jobs. Have barely been home long enough for sleep let alone showering and eating! Ran into a few issues installing a compound kit from an LMM onto an LB7 but I think I've found a way around everything. Exergy has my injectors right now which is why I don't have the valve covers done/installed. Plan on throwing the engine in Tuesday night and mocking up the exhaust. Hoping to be running in about two weeks depending on when the injectors show up. Have some more truck porn finally...

Did you use a local shop for heads, cam key, and piston de-lip? I'm up in Fort Collins looking around for a trustworthy shop.

It was actually my neighbor who did all the machine/measuring. He works at a local shop plus he has a few machines at home for side work as well. He did not perform the de-lip though. The pistons were sent down to Mountain High Performance to have that procedure performed. He may be sorta on the busy side right now but I could run it by him if your interested.

That would be great. I would rather pay the hard working man to do it on his own time than the shop sometimes; this is especially true if he has a good reputation and references and obviously this cat does. I will PM you my contact info.

If he is slammed or uninterested in the work right now, I'll be trying out AMS and reporting back. It would be nice to find a group of guys familiar with the 6.6 in northern CO. I'm having a set of torque plates made here in the next few weeks by them. :nanawrench:

I have a spare motor and need the shortblock machine work done. I can handle assembly and install. The top end is done already. It is cheaper to get it done before you need it! I've been piling up parts for the last 40,000 miles...
