I have a 07 Silverado with 150k. I have done everything to try and fix the ac. I had the system vacuumed and recharge holds pressure and correct levels. I have changed out all switches low high and ambient temp. I can't get the ac to work when it's above 70 outside. Does anyone have any ideas!?!?

I know what you mean now! I have washed them with water and sprayed compressed air at them. They don't look that dirty. But what is the best way to clean them?

Did you clean out the evaporator core in the truck?

If not, you will have to pull the AC Fan and wash it/ bow it out that way.

Evap core is located on passenger side of the cab just behind the glove box. It's accessed through the inside by removing the plastic cover hiding the fan motor. Once that is removed, the fan motor is removed and unplugged, then I washed mine out with a water hose.

Once you've cleaned out the HVAC, to really diagnose it, you need to slap gauges on the system when it is running.

I recently built my motor, and recharged the A/C to the factory amount, but it also wouldn't work when hot out. We slapped gauges on, and the system was acting overcharged. Pulled about 1/2 of the refrigerant out, and now it works fine. Not sure why GM specs out a massive overcharge, but filling the system by pressure instead of weight seems to be the way to go.
