Ok, so I put a pure performance 6" lift on my lly a few weeks ago, I had a problem right off the bat once I got everything back together and pulled the truck out of the bay. First, my alignment was off horribly, which I already knew I was going to need one, second, my abs light came on. The problem I have right now is with the abs, when we put the bearing assemblies back on, we had to rotate them to the right due to the fact that pure performances knuckles wouldn't allow for the abs sensor wire to come out of the top, so we rotated it to the right so it could come out the rear end side underneath the caliper instead of on top, so I didn't know the extent of anything until I started driving and went to brake, when I pressed the brake pedal in, it seemed like it damn near went to the floor and the brake had a vibration, not a pulse, but a vibration, and the abs kicked in and my truck didn't want to stop as well, it pulls to the right everytime my abs kicks in like that, I could be goin 15mph and go to slow down using the brake and it will still kick in. I had the code read, and it pretty much said the left side or driver side sensor was not operating properly. Now from the looks of it, the break line is twisted but not kinked, we never unhooked the calipers but the brake pedal does feel squishy as all get out, one of my questions is would rotating the bearing assembly affect the abs at all? And my next question is could the break line being twisted and not kinked affect the abs also? I've had the squishy brake pedal since I got my breaks done a while back but the shop closed down shortly after I got them done, does anyone have any advise on this matter as well? I've tried bleeding lines and everything... Any help would be awesome. If you have any other questions please post away, or pm me. I greatly appreciate it.

did you at ANY point pull the sensor from the hub? sounds like the sensor is bad. it will cause those issues you talking about. you can twist the caliper brake line around a full 360* if you twisted the caliper around for any reason. might jsut pull it off real quick and make sure you cant find a more relaxed position for it.

the two issues are not related though

Well that's your problem. Most can get away with just a sensor replacement. Double check your hubs are tight and if so, throw a new sensor on it. For some reason, when you pull the sensors on some hubs, it kills them. Every one I've down that on had broken them. For the last few years, I've not touched pulling the sensor from the hub and all has been well

By making sure the hubs are tight, does that mean as bolted down tight or does that mean the actual bearings are right and not shot? I do apologize for my stupidity, but I have had a few tonight sooo I wanna make sure we are on the same page lol. I do appreciate your help brother.

I know this is a month old but I just had this issue while I was rebuilding my front end.. I actually had to re flash my tunes in my truck after the new wheel bearings to get the lights to go off .. Wanna talk about a kick to the nuts when you get it all back together and them lights come on

Well update this didn't work for long.. They came back on today :( might have a bad ABS control module

What did you figure out on this OP?

Also when rotating the hub, are you positive the sensor is reading from the tone ring or is it offset/further away?

Ok, sorry it took forever to get back to y'all. Went and got a new sensor, mind you just sensor alone, and whalaaaa.... Fixed. As for the rotation of the hub... I talked to gm dealership about it and they said it should be fine, drove all the way back to Texas with it like that, and not 1 problem. As soon as I put new sensor on, lights went off and code was gone. That's for you Kirk.

Glad that fixed your problem, before I started fixing crap I didn't need to I ended up returning my wheel bearings and come to find out I was sold the 07 classic wheel bearings instead of the 07.5 new body style.. (They are different) I can change them in about 30 min now lol
