ABS light

have 2001 GMC, ABS light came on, didn't think much about it, $hit happens, but when i turned the truck of, the brake pressure modulator valve under the driver's door on inside of frame was still humming, sounded like my cheap holley blue, just not quite as loud, couldn't figure out how to shut it off so i pulled the 60amp ABS fuse, is it starving for fluid or has it just gone bad? resivoire was full of fluid btw

Not sure if this is relevent but i would check your wheel bearings for play

wouldn't hurt w/ as many miles on the truck as i have, but man i hope they're ok, just changed one on the wife's expedition and even and through my dad's part store discount it was almost $300 bucks

Yeah am doing it as we speak there 377 peicw for front wheelbearing/ wheel speed sensor. My light came on n its no joke they were shot 2 days later. Lol

shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, don't tell me that, i'm too broke to be buyin more truck parts lol, just bought two batteries and another holley blue cause the other one was leakin like a sive, one of these days i'll actually get a nice lift pump lol, but for now, wheelbearings are out of the question, i hope, lol

well it's not the wheelbearings, checked them last night before i hooked onto the stock trailer, everything seemed fine, no play, anybody got any new ideas?

ABS computer probably went bad. Look on ebay, there a couple people that rebuild them.

Your sig says that you have EFILive. Scan the truck for DTC's. If the ABS computer is wacked, you should have a thrown code.

What is the code? That will give you a place to start before you just start buying parts on fleabay.

I didn't put the EFILive tune on it a friend did, i'll have him scan it for me and get back to you guys

bml2200, thanks for the input, hopefully if that is it it won't be too expensive, still tryin to save for my tranny upgrade lol, stuff just needs to quit breaking!!!!lol
