finally sold the PPE so i can upgrade to EFI Live! gunna be callin Nick at Dmaxtuners tomorrow to get all set up. Gunna buy the DSP5 w/ tunes, EFI Live, and all the goodies to go with. Im so damn excited to start playin around with tunes while im bored at work and tweakin things here and there. Will be nice to have a high hp tune that wont smoke an intersection out as well

oh trust me, i know but i love to figit around with programing stuff. specially when it can add hp and tq. Ill be having Nick fill up my DSP5 with his tunes and wont really mess with those. Ill just start small and start researchin on building up good sized tunes then put them on the truck in place of my smoke tune i want and try them that way

You will be so much happier with EFI W/DSP-5:thumb: I still think PPE makes the best hand held but its a step behind the tuning I run from Rob

i agree. There are a bunch of little things that i feel need to be changed in the PPE to help me but you cant. It will be nice to program for MY truck

Good Luck on your tuning there is a guy about 30 miles from here bought efi live and tryed going blind and building his own tunes and he burned a hole in the block so he had to get a new LBZ so make sure if you are unsure in anyway when building your own tunes dont be afraid to ask for help there is ppl on this website with the knowledge and experience to help you from making a costly mistake:thumb:

Oh i wont be afraid to ask and post up my tune. i will not load it on my truck unless im absolutly sure it wont cause damage to the motor. I know learning it will be a long time consuming thing. im not expecting to get it and be able to build 400hp tunes right away. maybe in a year or two but ill jsut start small like with mcrats 20-20 tune and start to build from there. Ive been playing around with the software, gettin myself use to the interface and what not. just gunna take it slow but put a good amount of time into learning it . I apprieciate everyones help and/or advice with EFI Live and know that im on the right site to help me along in this new venture :hug:

well goin a new route. after a take with my buddy from here, ill be givin MMLMM a call next week to get everything ordered. found some things out i didnt know and i feel Mike will set me up good after talkin with him

I've got a nice little milage tune in the library here you might like for just a daily driver. Nothing big or serious. Pretty low smoke to no smoke and has a decent kick to it when you get in it, and it has been getting me a consistent 20MPG mixed driving in the BURB.

I hear ya on trying to make something that's not normally fast a bat outta he'll. I'm looking to someday and $20-30k down the road put my truck into the 11s...just a pipe dream but you never know
