what is the difference between the rings used on mahle and arias pistons? i wonder if you can order an arias piston cut for the mahle ring sizes? to go for the longevity?[/




I think the problem is not the ring but the piston itself has more clearance than the mahle ..... So the ring takes more abuse

They Keystone rings used with the cast pistons from Mahle are to hard for the Arias pistons top ring land since there is no steel insert in the forged Arias and Mahle pistons so ring life sucks thats why there not said to be used for DD trucks.

Those are some tough piston's! Mine look perfect also and i'm real glad I went the way I did in buying them. It sure looks like your motor is eating a lot of oil! Get that motor back together so you can kick some butt:woott: next year!!! Jeff

Either eating oil, OR, just maybe a little over-fueled :)
