Agreed I do not harm snakes, they are our friends. As a matter of fact I never kill predators as they are the regulator for all the other populations below them on the food chain.

We shoot coyotes here as there are farrr to many of them. Open season and they arent real predators they just eat cats small dogs and garbage.

Yes in your case coyotes are a problem. They have a food source(cats and dogs) that would not normally be available in the wild so the coyotes overpopulate. Happens in my area too.

That freaking thing looks totally demonic!! I'da lost it!

X2 on the coyotes here, if they stay off the ranch and in the hills we like watching them, if they come to the ranch unfortunately we have to shoot them.

i killed 30 or more rattlers one summer while i was just driving around. they can be pretty thick here at times. the very next summer, i didn't see but 2 or 3. bull snakes are pretty common, and they get pissy easily. weather a bull snake or a rattler, if it's pissed off, i always get the water hose and hose them off. they immediately stop trying to strike and just want to get away. :D. after that, you can usually pick up the bull snakes. i wouldn't try to pick up the rattlers though. ;)

I did exactly that once, thinking it was a gopher snake. Nope, just a young rattler who was extremely pissed about being swung sround by his tail. I think I made a pass, endzone to endzone, with his ass when I realized my mistake.

No issue with snakes, I actually really like them. I had to take care of the my schools snake collection my freshman year. They are very cool creatures.

OT but if I see a spider I will poop my pants, scream like a 3 year old girl, run and fall on my face and poop again. Who here as seen a Camel Spider?

spiders...

i got bit by a brown recluse once...left a nasty little circle of dead skin on my leg.
when i was in high school, i used to run cross country. one saturday, i had to get up at 5:00 to go to a meet. i wobbled my way to the shower at my house, still fuzzy-eyed. i got in and turned the water on. when i was looking for the soap, i saw an object in both corners of the tub. still unable to see clearly, i washed my face a little more, rubbed my eyes, and when my vision came into fucus, I saw that one of those objects was a trantula! I screamed, tore down the shower curtin, ran through the house dripping wet and naked, peaked around the door to my sisters room and told her to take care of business. I didn't have to warm up to run that morning.

Thats a little fella Wes. I got a pick of one I found just chillin on my truck, I had to go throw my pants away, then I took my boot off and tried to hit him. The spider grabbed my boot and hit me with it. Then I was on the ground he spit on me and called me a bitch.:D Okay not really but he was huge, I gotta pic somewhere.

X2. I thought Camel spiders weren't really spiders. Something about not belonging to the arachnid family I thought I read one time.
