whoa, 179,000 psi. thought you said 17,000. That means 12 volts is leaking into the sensor line. you have a short.

See how the v2 is showing 170000 but the scan tool on the computer is 179psi? How would that be showing mixed results?

Thank you all for the help! I apologize for making the situation so confusing and over complicating it. Definitely a learning experience. :thumb:

Swapped in a cp3/FCA out of the LBZ parts truck, fired right up after very little cranking! Buttoned everything back up, good to go! Took the time to run a 1/2" line direct to the CP3, and get rid of some more of the clutter under the hood. Removed the turbo coolant line that runs down under the coolant bridge so I can get to the cp3 bolts easier next time. Next CP3 change will be much easier!

Already been thrashing on her, giving her a lesson for laying down on me like that. Holy crap it feels fast compared to the stock 7.3 ford I was driving around!!! :woott:

Thank you all again for the help!! JoshH was all over the diagnoses, I owe him big time for the late night texts!!! He even offered to come to Houston and help or for me to take it to him, you don't find that kind of character in many people anymore.

I'm really glad you finally got it back on the road again! Now you have to get up this way so we can all go to the drag strip. I'd like to see you and Allen line up.

so let me get this straight... your problem the whole time was the cp3?

Yes sir, can't explain the miss. I changed those 2 injectors so I have an unknown variable there.

Also, I know now that the v2 isn't giving me the properly scaled reading, I freaked myself out there.

For people with this same problem, if you have a rail psi gauge tapped into the back of the rail, try unplugging it and putting it back to stock. Seen this affect rail like OP described.

Also if the rail goes straight to max pressure the regulator in the cp3 probably broke the coil inside.
