A/C Lines Hot

Under The Hood
Well I notcied the other day that all of my A/C lines were piping hot. i dont think this is normal.

Now of course my a.c line does rubt eh compressor housing but I did wrap it with insulated heat sheild. im wondering if this isnt enough??

not sure on a temperature but if its a high pressure side line and the a/c is running it gets pretty hot . low pressure side should feel cold to the touch , i would have to look at the truck to tell you wich is wich i honestly have never had to touch my a/c on theses trucks except for moving the compresser out of the way still hooked up of course .

they get real hot when ac/defrost workin'. If you got cold air, means its doin its job. AC in theory doesnt cool air, it removes heat and moisture. Thats the reason of the condensor. it pulls heat to it gets cooled as air passes and goes around and around
