I hope everyone takes a moment to remember those who lost their lives 18 years ago today as well as all the first responders who dealt with the results of going into those buildings and the families who were affected by the events.

That was our Pearl Harbor. I will never forget it.

I always wonder if that guy at DP who worked the cranes at the site is still alive, since many first responders are dying from cancer they got from the debris there.

Most folks here did not know about the first impact because of time zones, it was 04:48 ADT.

We woke up to the fires in the North Tower and the second impact.

It seemed like time stopped that day and all we could do was watch what was happening on the television.

Prayers and thank you to the first responders and our military service men and women who had to deal with the aftermath of that event.

I will never forget....

Dark day in our history that will never be erased from memory...

I'll never forget when I saw the second plane hit the tower, my sister worked on the 10th floor at the time and we couldn't get in touch with her for hours. It was torture...

Hard to believe it's been 18 years. 18 years ago tomorrow morning, myself and a number of other amateur radio operators were in Manhattan being assigned to varous posts to do what we could to help.

Never saw these befote today, but they're pretty powerful if you ask me:

First one was from superbowl 2002, second was from 2011 or 2012 I believe.

Heres the story behind it: https://fox2now.com/2019/09/11/the-...udweiser-commercial-that-only-aired-one-time/

I'm a fireman for FDNY and we continue to lose 2 or 3 guys a month to 9/11 cancer. We put a guy from my battalion into hospice today. Approximately 10% of our active firemen have cancer or 9/11 illness.
