Ive been trying to find what size ID and OD hose is needed for 8an fittings. Anyone know?

8an is 1/2 inch, or supposed to be so do I need a certain ID hose?

If you're making your own AN lines, you'll need to use the hose made for the specific manufacturer fittings you bought. All AN fittings are not backwards compatible with different manufacturers hoses. What exactly are you trying to do?

An fittings are 1/16" . You cannot interchange fittings and hose. You have to use fittings and hose designed for each other. Even the same brand doesnt always interchange through their series.

Thanks guys, trying to do an oil cooler on our LS2 sand car. I went with all 8an aeromotive socketless fittings and line approved for 300* and 250psi.

Hopefully it works out okay.

As long as those fittings were made for the same series of hoses you bought, you'll be fine.

Push lok style fitting s and hose like that are much different to assemble than AN fittings and braided hose. I wouldnt say they are easier but they take less skill and tools. Keep some warm soapy water close by to soften tge hose so the fittings push in. They are a M-fer. Do not use hose clamps on them.

As long as the hose was designed for that series fittkng you will be fine.
