have the chance to buy a s480 fairly cheap just wondering if I twinned it with my danville 72 if that setup would meet my goal of running 10s or if I should stick with my original 72/s483 plan

Steve Trojano went 10.5 full weight with a ccsb I believe with the 72/83. Mark went 10.96 on a single 72 with a light 2wd, it can be done with the 72/80 but in the end it's your truck and if the money's right.

thanks for the replys i might go with the 80 even if i got low 11s id be happy for awhile lol, this might be a dumb question but can the 80 be reworked to an 83 down the road?

When you start your serious quest for 10's a charger swap will be small potatoes. Id get the 480 now if you can get a deal and worry about something bigger when you try to reach your goal.
I like my setup. I have towed with it,it does well. Have not hit the track but I will soon enough. I can let you know then. I know tune 3 is pretty nasty on my truck. I don't run tune 5,that one gets a little dicey on the street.
I love my setup. Wasn't too fond of the 72vgt as a single but am in love now that I compounded it. Getting ready to send to Mark for his stg2r upgrade
As far as power,I don't know since it has never been dynoed. My injectors are somewhere around 40 over,maybe bigger would net more power I'm sure. I do know on the street,tune 3 on a 4wd launch clears the smoke fast,and hits 60# total boost. That's with the lockbox on.
