Just finished dynoing Jerrod Neal's 2006 LBZ pulling truck for the last time before the motor build.

Background..

Completely stock engine....

Single pump 2.5" 64mm Cheetah did 596hp

Installed 60% Injector Nozzles

Single pump 2.6" 68mm Cheetah did 634hp
Dual pump 2.8" 71.5mm Cheetah did 730hp

I'd say we're the first people to hit 730hp on a stock LBZ on fuel only and on a factory appearing charger

PS We drove it to the dyno and home with no issues. The dyno run only made 38psi, and we spiked 48 a couple times on the way home

Congrats! You guys don't want to see how long the stock motor will last?:D

Dynojet.. It's Danville Performance's

4200rpm's and the turbo is only making 38 psi or so...That's probably why the tq is a bit low.

I could turn up the vane position to make more boost and torque but the hp would suffer.

Also we weren't turning the dual pumps on until 3000 rpms. We're working on a microprocessor controlled dual pump controller that will allow both pumps to completely shut off(electrically.. which = full fuel) if you so choose. They aren't finished so we were just flipping the second pump on with a switch.... Mad Max style.

Just goes to show that with the proper tuning you can make a motor live. It's been to over 15 sled pulls this year and probably the same amount last year and it's been over 600hp for most of it's life 20,000 miles. I attribute it all to the injectors.

nice job Brayden, thats sweet.

which injectors are you running? Im almost leaning towards doing injectors before dual pumps..

60% Extrude Hones

It really makes the motor run better vs running lot's of PW and timing.

Poked at you a bit on DP a second ago.. Go read it :D

already saw it. :D

did you spec the injectors yourself? Or are they from another vendor?

at this point would you maybe say go sticks first before dual pumps?

Yes we spec'd them..

Sticks are a necessity IMO.. It just makes life easier on the motor.

I'd say get them first. That way you'll be able to back the timing down on your current setup and make things easier on the motor.
I'm ASSuming that you're running the normal ~3200uS and 30-32 degrees etc etc...

You can back that down to 2000uS and 26 deg or so if you're running 45-60% sticks.

Same power.. easier on the internals.

Yep, good guess on the duration and timing. :D 29* and 3200us.

you have a PM

Isn't that the dyno that all the inflated numbers were coming from last year?
Like a run of mill extreme tune made 560hp & everywhere else on this planet they made 500hp
