Just thinking for the future...

I have an 02 Federal y bridge in my truck from factory. Would one still be able to build a charge pipe from the 68mm turbo intake and clear the y-bridge or no? i would think you can still but have not seen any pics of anyone who has done this.

With enough cutting/grinding/welding you should be able to make anything work James!!!:D

I would think you'd be able to make it work but pictures and seeing if first hand helps.

If Albert snuck a 3.5" tube by, I don't see why I can't. Coolant tube might get in the way but I'll just pick up a different one or mod it. I was more concerned the v-band flange would land in an area I couldn't center up the tube.

I may just sell the whole piping kit and buy an LLY twin kit. Dunno yet. I need to buy a TIG

I've got a HSP 3" y-bridge and cold side pipe you could buy...Probably cheaper than a new tig welder:D

I'm fairly sure I've settled on trying to see if I can make it work. I'll tack it all together and have either my brother in law or buddy of mine TIG it. Or I may just go pick up some .023 wire and see how cleanly I can weld it with MIG.

Needless to say, I'm in a fabricating kinda mood lol

I tried to fit an 02 bridge onto my lly and It wouldn't clear the inlet flange cleanly enough for my taste. I ground the bridge pretty thin trying. You would need about an inch riser to clear very well. The 03 bridge actually clears better. I think I might still have that machined flange for building your own charge pipe for twins lying around somewhere. I can't remember if I sold it or not.

I may need to pick up the big LLY upper steel radiator line though. Mine doesn't give as much room

You might be able to make it work then. My bridge was getting pretty thin and without some cutting and welding it wouldn't have cleared.

It will work James. I put one of Mark's v-band clamps on there as well:thumb: 3.5" tube is tight but I had enough room to clear the water pipe and the y-bridge. Just tack it all in place with a mig and then finish it with a tig.
