6500lb in bed?

Pat I've had 6000-7000lbs on the bed of my 2500HD with 3500DRW springs more times than you'd imagine. Last time was 2 weeks ago and I ran 225mi at 60-70mph no issues. It's a way of life to me :thumb:.
Anyone see a problem with putting a 6,500 lb machine in the bed of a 3500 SRW truck to move it 3 miles at low speed? 3500 means 3.5 tons right?
I'd rent a low but heavy axle'd trailer to move those, that way you don't have to lift them so high and risk dropping/tipping them over and completely making the tables useless.
i guess if you wanted to play it safe you could do it this way...
but then where would you get the next great story for when you are out at the bar?
I'd simply set them on my gooseneck and haul them both at the same time.

Pat, I would use a trailer for that much weight.
I put 2 1/2 tons of 2B limestone in my bed once. It looked like I had hydraulics in the rear. Stopping/steering was a bit harder than normal as well. I wont do that ever again!

i would do it in my 2500 in a heartbeat only 3 miles no problem whats the worse that could happen :angel:
