I knew his stuff made some power. A few guys were trying to get me to run him on the street a couple years ago in Pontiac, but I wanted no part of it. lol

idk man his dodge is on 22's and his dually is on 26's. if your light enough and call no bottle theres not telling what might happen.

I dont use the controller but I have been meaning to give him a call about it. I have a banks wastegate and have played around with that alittle to get it to spool properly. The boost controller would just be a lot faster to make adjustments. I did loosen the gate quite a bit when I first installed it to aid in getting the 475 lit. Its most likely close to factory now.

dude my shit spools so fast its unreal. i never messed with the gate and only have the ppe boost valve.

idk where my issue is... I feel my trans shifts slow sometimes and blasts through the gears other times. It rocks sometimes in 5th and then sometimes it feels like its falling on its face. Im almost certain that i feel sometime trying to bind up as im going down the track IDK. It just never feels as fast at the track as it does in the street.

yea i hear ya, i dont run it up there all the time. im sure its in the mid 9's with mid 500hp on my daily driver tunes.

I did ask nick to tune out a little of the torque and keep it kind of conservative and thats exactly what he did. I was told there is more on the plate, and i dont really care to find out what that is at this point lol

OT but might be an obvious answer but is that why you will have, say, 2 trucks with similar hp #'s but their torque #'s r way different? It's in the tuning? I have never really paid any attention to the parts list of a lot of the trucks that dyno so I just assumed it was internal parts, alone, that made the torque higher.
BTW good #'s

yea its in the tuning via fuel/timing delivery. internal parts dont make the difference in numbers its the air/fuel that you can throw at them.

I'd love to be around these numbers, can it be done and still have a stock bottom end hold up? I may have to de-tune mine it feels rediculous only thing I have to compare it to was Xcablb7's old setup, A5k on a stock LB7 that seemed fast until he played with the tune @ TS in 09 went from 586 to 626 and 2 days later he was looking at his rods...... I'd be happy with 57x ish but 6xx sounds alot better :D

Mine spools incredibly fast as well. Ive never riden in another twinned truck so I dont have anything else to compare to. From what people have told me that have though, its spools wicked fast. As far as the trans issue, I can attest to mine being mainly in the tuning. Ive had many lengthy conversations with George and Tony about this. Im not knocking Nicks tunesat all as ive never run them, just saying that the tuning is the major differance with our trucks. It may or may not be what your experienceing with your trans shifts. Also, when you run at the track, do you run in in tow haul? the reason I asked, is becasue I only use tow haul for full t hrottle runs. It saves the taps memory so it only knows full throttle shifts and such. its just a little tip I was taught along the way for the best track shifting conditions

Great numbers for sure! :thumb: Come on kris, dual cp3 that thing already....

Haha I may be heading that way

Thanks kris, ill reset my taps and try that... regaurding the tuning, its not quite on edge and the defuling is still pretty generous. im sure i could squeeze those times out of it if I had too i would just rather not push the envelope at this point.

maybe after i get my house... and can prepair to buy rods if the occation called for it.
