Rods would add a nice measure of security if you plan to run the truck over 600hp all the time. Maybe do some valve springs while you're in there as well. And 40-60% over injectors would help get the pulse width down a bit too.

In my House
lbz will live for a while at 600hp you wont need the 480 to get there either can go 475 if you want little faster spool or do a nice single danville 72vvt. but i would suggest 60 overs lift pump and built trans you will be good

I got a s480 already is why I say that and 600hp would b my hot tune so use it only to show out. Proll just. 120 tune dd. just wanna get parts that way if something does happen I have all the parts to make it dependable at those hp levels cause it's my wrk truck. Didn't know if I needed heads, crank, rods, head studs ect. Like I say I e got the 480 and bout to buy some lb7 cut and coated pistons jw what else I'd need. Thanks guys

600 is pretty tame. With twins wont be hard at all. If u end up doin rods, piston, u can shoot for alot higher numbers and be reliable. Might as well do full build at that point.

Fuel. Fuel is about the only thing you need to hit 600.
As others have mentioned, a lift pump, I like an air dog 165, 40-60 over injectors, exergy would get my vote, and a 10mm stroker cp3 also from exergy, cuz you will need that to support the larger injector. If 600hp is all you will ever want, you'd be better off to stick w/40 over injectors, IMHO, but 60's will work too, they might be a little too much for a 600 hp goal, egt wise and for stock pistons, but with twins and tuning you should be a-ok:thumb: other than that I can't think of anything major. I like to take it to the max though, so I would(and have) do a bunch of other stuff that make the truck solid. Such as- manifolds and up pipes, intercooler, egr delete, down pipe, traction bars, brake upgrade(cuz stopping is pretty important) better shock and sway bars.....and brace up the front end parts, then you got yourself a truck that can truly handle 600hp and then some.

Just my opinion, but I wouldn't tell you to do anything I wouldn't or haven't already done, and I like how my truck has turned out so far:D

Good luck :woott:

So here is where I'm at.

Tow/dd tune runs right around 550-600hp. I have a s475 over stock turbos, 45% over injectors, dual fuelers, built trans, ad165 lift pump, pipe billet pick up tube, built motor that has rods, cut stock lb7 pistons, arp main studs and new bearings, a1 head studs, keyed cam and crank, and I'm sure some other things I'm forgetting.

All in all, my dd tune is only a few hundred over a stock pulse width and the turbos clean the fuel up well till I load the full race tune in, then I wish I had more air

I don't know. Dyno said 500 hp but we won't get into that. Track says right around 750hp for 7800lbs and 113mph but that was on a bad trans And leaky intercooler with no lock up till 4th gear

Heads, springs, headers, water pump, ect. I mean your talkin about doin 80%-90% of whats needed to handle 7-800hp. Why not just do the rest of the small stuff like whats stated above, and be able to turn it up if u want. U can always run 600hp on a built motor like what James or trojan has even tho theres can handle 800+.

With twins, like a s475 over stock will make 600hp easily with just a lift pump. Sure injectors and cp3s will make it easier yet but is not needed for 600.

Just throw some 40% over sticks in it and a 4094vvt, that's more than enough to get you to 600 rwhp. Mine has been at this level for 2 years now and I DD it every day all day for work...

My buddy has a stock bottom end LBZ with 60% overs and dual pumps and he regularly pounds on it at about 700 rwhp with no issues as of yet, it's all in who tunes it...

Thanks man. Yea ATP tunes my truck and they told me would b fine w the twins and stick engine. Just didn't know if there was any precautions to take or stuff to get. And RPM I am gone hang on th that list u pmd me and start pecking away at it. That way when and if she does blow when I rebuild it it will b able to handle a lot more then I give it
