Run 7 stock C2 steels and 7 ALTO C2 clutches. Or run 7 stock steels and 7 RAYBESTOS clutches. Just make sure and use the thicker C2 apply plate from the ALTO kit, and 7 stock steels and 7 ALTO or RAYBESTOS clutches comes out pretty dang close(mine was .075, I had .085 when I used ALTO's). Also keep in mind there are 2 different C2 apply plates for the ALTO kit. You can use either one in a 5 speed drum(I think the new kits come with the revised apply plate for both 5 and 6 speeds), but the 6 speed drum requires you use the revised C2 apply plate.

Thanks for the good info, this is the next project after the motor is assembled.

The last thing he wants to do is run alto c2's if he's making decent power. If I was using a 6 speed drum I wouldn't use the apply plate at all.

If only I knew this stuff 2.5 years ago when I originally assembled my trans. I'm rather anxious to tear into it to see how it looks and even more anxious to get it setup correctly.
