6.7 Powerchoke kill

I work for GE and they just bought us all 2012 F350 Powerchokes. Everyone at my work thinks they are so FAST!! IMO they are laggy, slow shifting piles.

Anyways to the kill I told these guys my LB7 would take them and finally got the chance to race one

From a stop I completly ripped on it!! He said its just cause of the low gears I have and wanted to go from a roll.
The roll race was closer but I was still slowly pulling on him:thumb:
Feels good to beat a 5$,000 truck in my $12000 truck

My truck has a Hypertec sticker on the door and I always wondered if it was actually tuned, it must be

The 6.7L runs pretty good for a stock truck, but I made one owner feel real BAD here not to long back when the BURB left him like he was still holding his brakes. Also made some high schooler feel pretty bad about his late 90's CAMARO with a V-8 around the same time.

I wish my dads burb was 3/4 ton I would make him swap an LB7. His 01 has 3xx,xxx its only a matter of time before his 5.3 goes.

yeah its funny how everybody talks about oh this ford is slow or bla bla bla, they might be slow but have any of you actually driven a 6.7 ford? they are by far the nicest trucks on the road today! period. the new denaili's are junk compared to the 6.7s. their interior is flawless and they ride as good as car. the interior on the new gms still sucks just like the lmms. i would trade my twined lbz in a heart beat for a 6.7 ford. and i bet if you put a trailer behind one it doesnt look like a little f'n dog draggin his ass on the carpet like the gms do.

When you get sick and tired of having you ford 6.7 in the shop you can drag your happy little a** back to the best diesel and trans on the market and that my little friend is the 6.6 Duramax and Allison.

My buddy has the 2012 F-450 and it is the biggest waste of steel ever. Ya Ya I know it's a 450 but still you would think it would be better than it is.

He has yet to see anything over 9MPG towing anything.
It has been in the shop more then he has had it for stupid things like EGR and crap.
He is looking at selling it and finding a 4500 Chevy as just the MPG would pay for the loss on the truck in a year or two.

Also I kicked it ass towing his boat.

I will say the truck is nice to look at and sit in but I would not want to pay the fuel bill to drive it anywhere.

I drive a 6.7 powerchoke everyday I drive one more than my duramax. I have towed trailers with it about 8 times in the 6000 miles it has on it, and it does tow fine but the ass sags just as much as our 1 ton chevs that we have.

Mine has been in the shop 3 times in 6000 miles One of the other ones we have drove down the road sideways with 120 miles on it.
They ride like tanks, are laggy as all hell. The interior is pretty nice I will give them that but not as comfy as my duramax

I did not buy my truck for the interior. That chits cool for the first 6 months and then you forget about it. I would love to have a Ford if they would get a proven motor. The 6.7 does run good but for how long? My 01 lb7 has 315000 and will still roast the tires all day long even without tunes. Not to mention no blowby at all.

first of all dick, ive always been a chevy guy, had a 10 sec lb7 i got rid of it favor of a 07lbz with twins. i like the chevys and for making power dont think they can be beat, but nobody wants to ever give fords a chance. i work on all makes of trucks everyday at the shop and have multiple 6.7s come in all the time for add ons, nothing mechanical ever. my best friend has been a ford diesel tech for 10 years and works at the largest truck shop in nc and has had 1( thats right in case you cant count that high, its the number right after zero) in the 2 years they have been out in the shop for a major problem. and obviously you dont know shit about their transmissions because the 5r110 and now the new trans in the 6.7 are better then the allison ever thought about being. i mean really how many duramaxs are making around 575-600hp and running stock transmissions? the 6.4s do it all the time. do they last forever...no, but the point is dont knock on something you have no damn clue about.

nah its just people piss me off when they drive some ragedy ass dually and thinks its the badest thing in the world because its got a edge and a allison transmission. you know i respect ford because they didnt take that dumbass bail out a few years ago and i think its cool that they have made a truck that seems real promising. my buddy that works at ford said that when the customers bring their 6.7s in to get serviced that you can truely see that they love their truck. for so many years theyve been coming in pissed because of the 6.0 and then 6.4s and now they have something that they really enjoy owning again like the 7.3 were. thats all im saying is slow or not they are nice as crap and i wish chevy would come out with something to compete with the interior of those trucks.

U r full of s*** if u think a fords is better then a dmax. I own both and pull trailers everyday, becaise i own a landscaping company. Fords sit level from factory, u add a trailer and the sag like a mother f*****. Look at the rears springs, fords ride on there over loads with it 300lbs in the bed. Chevys dont even come with them till u hit 1 ton. I pull a 26ft tandem trailer with a s300, 2 buckets, and my dmax sits level. It pulls a trailer a ton better, from factory, cause i own a few stock still. Not even a comparison.

Ill sell u a few fords for your twinned lbz. Hands down. Best truck u can own. And dont even get me started on mileage. Not sure if ford even thought about that when they made a pos 250-550.
