So does mine. Thanks again Mike for taking care of this for me. After driving home in bumper to bumper on the 91 frwy the didn't take long to start shifting great.

I installed my new springs on the Suncoast conversion.

Ok so I have done some Google searchs, and have found the 5 speed to 6 speed conversion kit. Now I think I'm about due for a trans rebuild anyways because the trans keep dropping into limp mode. So I suppose if I have it out and I'm doing the rebuild, I should just do the coversion as well.

So I guess my questions are:
1. Has anybody on here done the conversion? If so pros and cons?

2. The kit is just a few parts for the trans internally. I'm making an assumption but wouldn't I need a 6 speed tcm as well? And at that I'm sure it would take re-pinning of the original 5 speed tcm harness correct?

3. Antyping else to be done to the truck that isn't internal. In the trans itself?

Mike did the complete Suncoast kit in Sept. '07, along with a T/C and 6sp conversion. The 6sp isn't cheap but it makes the truck a lot more pleasant at highway speed. About 300rpm less and the engine seems to be loafing along. It drives beautifully and was definitely worth it to me. One thing though........the Suncoast tcm is programmed for a softer launch and it can't be changed. For racing switch to a 5sp tcm programmed the way you want it.
