Looking to go a 5" TB Flo Pro or Magnaflow or whatever on my LML. Wondering if anyone has ever had probs with the fitment such as rattles or anything else? Seems tight on crossmember but Im no engineer so....

I have the Flo Pro with muffler. Fitment is very good and zero issues or rattles. Great exhaust for the dollar.

Flopro shows there 5" Downpipe back is 4" then goes to 5". Afe has a 5" Downpipe back but have not seen or heard of its true 5" like Magnaflow and Afe does on the older trucks.

How hard is it to take DPF and DEF off? I havent even looked under there yet but just wondering. More so on the DEF side. Do you have lines that need to be disconnected all the way back to engine or what? What do you do with DPF lines? Plugs?

its really not a bad job i did it alone and in a few hrs. everything unplugs from under the truck unless you plan to remove the tank as well.

I have a 5" Flo-Pro straight pipe on my 2012.

Sounds good and can get loud when you get on it.

No Drone.
I just don't understand how some trucks can be like this and then mine with a 5" straight pipe (what I started out with years ago) droned soooo bad that it gave my passengers headaches and even me! Had to put a muffler in and it still drones a little but I like it now.. Weird

Mine drones loaded at 1650 bad running 70mph so I just down shift to 5th and get the rpms up to 1850 or 1900 and it gets very quiet.

I like Drone. My 8.1L has no tailpipes and flowmaster SS 40 series that end at beginning of bed. Sounds really good. I like to hear my trucks. Wish the LML engine wasnt so quite and sounded like it does when its cold and warming up all the time.

Guess Im weird :thumb:

Well, if you put a 5" straight pipe on from downpipe back and you will have some noise then

I have the muffler on mine and do the same thing. 65 and under I usually run 5th to keep it quiet.
