Wasn't sure where to post this. I have a 07 classic with manual floor shift for transfer case and can't get 4wd to engage. Shifter moves fine and I have checked all the connections on transfer case and on front dif. Is there any way to check if the actuator is bad? I don't get light in dash or anything. Any suggestions would be great! Newer to diesels and forums. Thank You!

Are you sure it's not going into 4WD? The manual shift units are pretty stout and reliable. The front axle actuator is a pretty reliable unit, but they do fail sometimes. Not sure on yours, but not all of them will light up the indicator in the cluster. The push button units will only light up the light for the button it is in, and on older trucks it would light up the floor console when it went into 4WD.

We messed with the actuator seemed like it might have been sticking or bad connection. Anyway got it to engage into 4wd but light still doesn't come on so maybe it's not supposed to being it's a floor shift.

There should be a light on the dash that comes on when it is in 4wd. You should check the switch on top of the transfer case to see if it is turning on when the shifter is put in 4hi and 4lo position.
