ok i have my tbars almost all the way up. idk if anything was ever done to the front end but i think its all stock i have 33 nitto terra graps and when i do a light 4wd launch then get into it or any kind of 4wd launch it will pull really hard to the right and with make a hole bunch of noise and seem like its spinning but its deff not spinning i can tell. but anyways why is it so slow and feel like its not going anywhere in 4wd is it cause my tbars are up so much and what should i do to my front end so i can launch

stop doing that unless you feel like replacing tie rods and cv axles. if you wanna launch, lower the t bars till the cv axles are level and at least get some tie rod sleeves. the reason it feels slow is because your tires are towing in extremely bad.

Lower your torsion bars and install some tie rod sleeves. Cognito braces or some other form of brace to prevent the center link from rotating (such as the new bracket from All Season) would be a good idea too.

Second that. These are the basics. You can do a lot of damage launching in 4wd with the bars up

Unfortunately this is my truck I'm using as an example for what not to do. But it's when the previous owner had it. And he wasn't the brightest crayon in the box. Matter of fact... He may just be the box the crayons come in.

Anyways, look at the front wheels during this launch. Notice how the wheels are not perpendicular to the track? That's the wheels towing in.
When they do this, the wheels push inwards and if you drew an imaginary line to show the path of each wheel, they would cross down the road. Instead of staying parallel.

/ \ << that's kinda what the wheels would look like if you were to look at it from up above. Can't really draw on a pc. But your brighter than the previous owner of my truck. I think your catching on.

you bought that EPILEPTIC guys truck? you know how much abuse hes done to that thing rignt?

To the OP, just a little FYI. Leveling kits do nothing to help you fix steering angles and CV angles. Cranking that front end up increases leverage on steering and a-arms. It also put the CVs at a steep angle only putting more stress at the sides of the of cage and cogs instead of teh center where its strongest

I go to the track almost every week so its gunna be a pain in the ass to keep dropping it.

it might take you 10 minutes to jack up one side of the truck, pull the bolt & repeat on the other side

to set the bolt back to where it was you can either measure the amount of threads or stack washers

Haha yea. I know. But it was what I wanted for the price I wanted. And the truck is COMPLETELY different now. I've "de-jordaned" it thru and thru.

And just so everyone knows... Truck doesn't toe in now lol.

Luckily it was just a 50 shot. The pistons and internals were in pretty good shape surprisingly. But the trans.... thing would limp in the hot street tune lol.

Yea the truck has had a rough patch in her life. But she's being polished up now and on the way to an 11 sec pass... Eventually lol. That's my goal for now. I just started the parts buying process backwards from everyone. But it will benefit me in the long run. :)
