well i have started new project with a couple of questions for the smart guys, i am building a 49 chevy coe on a newly purchased 07 4x4 84" ca cab and chassis. the first question is i would like to convert to 2wd so besides removeing the front drive line, cvs and diff what else needs to be changed ? are the rotors and calipers the same on 2wd? I asume hubs will needd changed ? I ahve a call in to mike L for the trans tail parts then is the trans tune going to need to changed? I drove the truck home 4 days ago and now its completly scattered and started to go back together. It may even have my built motor but not sure yet! pics to follow. Thanks guys in advance for the tech support

to make them a nice driver and be slammed on the ground you have to place motor/trans behind the cab making the front drive shaft extremely long and the rear very short plus the desired ride height im looking for is questionable with a 4wd platform. and i also have several other trucks to drive in the winter so its just not neede either.

I figured it must be getting lowered a lot. Sounds and looks like a cool project. Good luck with it, and keep the pictures coming!

One of the mags did a nice piece on a COE duramax project a number of years ago. I actually scanned the article for someone on another forum that was starting the same project.

fatboy,
If I can find the files and if you want them, pm me an email address and I'll send them to you.
