So i found this truck in town with 480,000 MILES on the clock only needing a transfer case suprise suprise, the guy is ASKING $2500....yea? No? Maybe? Could it be a ticking time bomb or possibly a loss free investment? What do yall think...shall i jump on the deal or let her pass?...it is a crew cab short bed 04 model like the one i own now with the lb7...im an impulse buyer so im hoping someone will talk me out of it before i go "dan bilzerian" and snatch it up just for shits and giggles!

If the body an interior is in decent shape I would buy it. just for the simple fact to drive it till the wheels fall off then part it out specially for that price

I would be posting a thread showing off the new truck I just bought not one asking if I should. That sounds like a great work truck to drive to keep the miles and wear off the good truck.

I will be driving right thru there on Sunday. I can stop and pay for it an drive it home as I come back thru. Let me know if you pass on it. I would love to have a crew cab

There's one in classifieds but it has pump rub hole already.

A cpl years ago we were gonna buy a brand new transfer case from Merchant Auto for less than 1500 shipped w/ a warranty. Got it local for same price and an extra yr of warranty. But I wouldn't hesitate to contact Eric if I were you. Even buying a new one, you aren't upside down on this truck. ;). Even better if you can find a good used one.
