4500, 5500, 6500 Silverado

Power rating is on par for non fire/rescue trucks with isb6.7 and paccar-7 Engines 300-350/700-750 HP/tq
The 6500 is lacking bigger Engine options as the big 4 trucks KW/Pete/frieghtliner/International class 6 trucks and get 9-10 liter Engines in them usually Max is 380/1250 HP/TQ.. plus Allison/Spicer/eaton-fuller manual transmission
Interior pickup cab that's raised off the truck chassis
Engine area is packed full..
Still waiting to see the proclaimed "slew of options" the GM keeps saying might get more specs released come Friday/Saturday as the work truck show in Indy comes to and end
Jounrymans 4500/5500 CC dodge is usually mid 50k sticker...basically work truck with power everything and vinyl floor

Indeed. I am really curious to see their pricing.
They claim it has the Duramax/Allison. I wonder what all will be different on the 4500+ vs the 2500/3500? Probably similar to the Kodiak, but I will be curious to learn the gritty details.

They look really nice. The white truck with the tilt front end, what ever is hanging from underneath is going to get banged up real quick on a construction site. Looks like transfer case skid plate.
Seriously though probably in the 6 figure as a fully loaded 3500 is close to 75k

I have a suspicion that it will come in cheaper than a fully loaded 3500.
Industrial trucks are generally in the 50-70k range, and I can't imagine they will sell many if they are too far out from the competition.
That would be without a bed, though. Fully up-fit for a purpose, yeah, I could see 100k+.
now if it could just have air ride on all 4 corners....
only get air ride in 2wd as per the press release...
2wd is lame...

I guess what I’m saying is Ford/Dodge have more of a “beefed up one ton”, for lack of a better term, and GM seems to have gone a notch above that. I suppose that IF the GCWR is a big step above Ford and Dodges offerings then the size becomes more of a minor thing. The Kodiak/Topkick trucks were MASSIVE and didn’t have the GCWR to go with their size.
