ya I have the 1.06 a/r

that is probly your answer ;)

448375-18 is the .85
448375-19 is the .95
and run 300-350 for a turbine housing through forced induction..
i plan on buying a 4094 with a .85A/R and waste gating it so it will live with 4,000rpm shift points

the down side to running a smaller turbine housing is high EGT in upper rpms. the good side is increase trubo response and come on sooner.

i know deiselson is running a .85 on their 4088 and ppe tuning and see 40+psi not spiking.

i had mine out tonight and i was seeing 40 PSI and that is with the 1.06 A/R also. I going to take it back to the track really soon just not sure what day :D i wonder what i picked up power wise by changing the turbo?

interesting I'm seeing nowhere close to 40psi mine topped out to 30psi
its probably the tune Nick,But i bet that 30 psi is better than 30 psi on the stocker:) Tuning the timing made a world of difference on my HTT
cranking the waste gate never did anything really?
PPEs tune on my friends truck would hit 40 psi easy with a HTT:D

I think the more important thing is shifting and keeping the boost up over the actual number of psi

Im sure Adam has looked at a map for your turbo and could tell ya where/what is the best number

you can run the waste gate of either drive pressure or boost ;)

a small non gated housing will have higher drive pressure on the top end

drive pressure is not evil simon ;)

Adam this is OT but the DP on the htt was always 1:1 no matter what i did?

Stock tune stock turbo would run average 1:2 and as high as 1:3

ive heard guys running big turbos with 1:3 average 180 psi +DP and changing the A/R helped

Adam i have lots of DP data, but not a lot of info, you say not evil?whats evil and what the best?

i should have worded it better simon:(

i know we have talked about it before... im going to call some turbo companies to find out.

i still think 1:1.7 and higher is bad
