4094 Heat Shield

The shop is putting the motor back together/in the truck and said the stock heat shields will not work with the new turbo but thought I should have one on. They were going to look into something and I thought I would ask here. What have you guys done to keep the heat away from the firewall with the aftermarket turbos?

Holy smokes that thing is nice! I just cant afford it though. I think I'm going to try and go the ripmf666 way and do some creative wraping.

I have the factory heat blocker that came on the truck still lol.The down pipe is away from the firewall more then the stock turbo pipe.

yea we found that out when we went to install my factory intake tube, had to grind off the nipples that road in the turbo and ground off about a 1/4 of the tube all the way around to fit the clamp, but that will all be gone soon, getting a keystone ram air hood and a water to air intercooler and losing the elbo and grid heater on here to help everything flow better. Hope your having some fun with that turbo.
