I am contemplating getting back to pulling with my 06 CCSB. Previously I was stock height, torsion bars lowered, with congito braces and super diesel sleeves.

Wondering now that I have the 4" lift, if there is any other bracing I need or should do. I know Tony sells a stabilizer but states for non-lifted trucks.

Anyone running the Tuff Country 4" and what are you using for additional bracing.

Thanks!

I have the 4" T.C. lift and added H.D. tie rods, Strait center link, and Cognito pitman/idler arm braces.. The strait center link was the last thing I added and seemed to make the biggest improvemnt as far as toe in when sled pulling...

Tony Burkhard runs one on Dirty Hooker and wins the Pts. Champ in his division last 5 yrs.?? He sells and uses the parts to get it to stay together and work with minimum fixes evidently. He can direct you to how that setup is done on his probably. Seems like he helps guys buy the right parts and not alot of stuff many just bought and tried then sold because it wasn't the hot setup for IFS. Can't deny Tony has the right parts for sledpulling with his pts. standings.

I'm hoping Tony will see this and chime in. I bought the lift from him and was hoping to run it without a straight centerlink (will if I have to). I believe TNR Greene run the same lift, wondering what they have done....

after installing my straight centerlink, there is no way in hell I can drop the diff without pulling the centerlink too. I'm not too excited about that. You have more room to drop the diff if need be with your lift, so you would be fine. I am gusseting the idler bracket for sure too.

You have to do alot more work to a TC lifted truck to pull the front diff than a stock truck. The whole front cradle has to come loose.....Kinda a pain in the ass but im a pro at it now

ya, i took one out a few times in the 04 I used to work on. its a cake walk with the rancho bracket. and its easy with a stock centerlink and the wheels turned. but straight no bueno

Im not sure why so many people have trouble with ifs. If you have to spend more than a few hundred bucks in parts, lifted or not, your doing something wrong.

all depends on the lift/suspension setup and how hard you are on the truck. 2 grand later after trying all different kinds of setups, i finally found a setup that i cant break (yet) and wont wear the tires out from turning on the street. cognito braces werent strong enough, bent fabtech HD tie rods, bent stock drag link, first straight center link didnt last long due to me hating the scrub it caused, and finally put an EXAXT kit on. and all while i was fixing those broke/bent parts i was still replacing the idler/pitman arm regularly. 45k later i only replaced an inner tie rod due to lack of greasing from me. truck launches hard in 4wd and barely has any toe in cranked or lowered :D
