In the past pictures it looks like your diff is pointed very downward. Im assuming thats just my perception

Thats the beauty of a 4 link , fully adjustable :D but yes i have it pointed down some because its a poly bushing used on the bars so a little give is needed on the pinion angle .

Well the 4link is finished excluding the coil over mounts which should be done before the weekends finished .Hopefully can paint soon !

Dont you ever sleep?

Truth be told, whats incredible is that a DIYer, with really no experience in this field, built that. Congrats my friend....you do really nice work.

Looks good! Wondering if you cycled the rear suspension yet to make sure nothing was binding yet. Also, what type of steel you using?

Yes every step along the way when new peaces were added . all the steel specs are listed in the thread .

looks good.

so whats the grand total lost weight so far on this venture???

Not sure Mitch , On just 4 link related parts , I took off about 315 lbs between the frame rails , leaf springs which were already semi stripped , cross members, fuel tank factory spring mounts, u-bolts , ect . I didn't track what went back on as far as the weight , i didn't want it to affect my judgment on material, I didnt do it for weight reduction alone but i am sure it shaved some weight ( 100 lbs maybe 150 ) ? A guy could shave more if you wanted to risk lighter materials or spend alot of time on design .

My goal for total weight shaving was to hit 5400-5500 lbs , I should be pretty close If it wasn't for the roll bar needing to go in , my guess will be 5600 lbs but it is what it is i guess .

Had to turn over my daily driver for my wife to race to keep her interested.

Sorry fellas no hitch , 4 link has the adjustment for it but could spare the extra weight , i wanted too but couldn't do it without compromising the main purpose of the truck .

looking good trent. but if i may make a few suggestions.

first i would box the entire backside of the link mounts. oh and round the ends off it'll look a lot cleaner.

also either add another support to that panhard bracket on the rear or change the design. that will break. maybe not right away but it will. i had the same set up and it broke in just under a year. i actually have some pics of my fix in one of my threads.

also i would box the frame before and after that link x member. just go both ways to where it's boxed from the factory.
