X2, skip the stacks though please. Trans, Efi, and lift pump you'll be running 500+hp and you'll be hooked!

X2, forget the stacks lol You'll have way more fun with 500hp than a lift kit and poor fuel mileage lol I've been in a truck with same mods and tuning as mine plus a trans and you can tell the difference. The truck on same tune is deff faster and feels much more solid

Will i be able to feel the difference when having a built trans. with an exhaust and efi, vs just having trans and efi? Does the tranny itself do that much?

Also Ryan415, nice to see another CT'r on here. I am over in Wilton Ct.

Oh nice, yeah there's not alot of Dmax people around me that I know of lol The built trans will allow you to add more power than if it were stock. Stock trans will take maybe 90-100hp over stock where as a built trans will allow you to max out your stock turbo and fuel. Little over 500hp at the wheels and a lift pump is a good idea to have on any Duramax :thumb:

Thanks Man, I will look into a lift pump as well.
I was looking forward to a lift and new rims/tires, but i guess i will rotate them and hope they last till the spring.

U can find an exhaust on ebay for around 300 (muffler delete) shipped, or u can buy a cat delete pipe if u dont have the $$ for a whole exhaust.. Its not mandatory that u do an exhaust if u do efi live and a trans. But that and a lift pump would be the next 2 things u should do.. Tie rod sleeves will help too. Those will be good mods before a lift anyway IMO

think if i were to spray an aluminized exhaust right out of the box, no prep, with high temp paint would it survive a winter of salt and sand?
